Client
"European Internet Academy" project was developed for Pro Europa Society, an NGO dedicated to propagate Euro-enthusiastic attitudes through education and supporting various initiatives undertaken to act in favor of Poland's future in United Europe.
Task
MyNetwork Poland company was faced with an objective to create an educational offer that would be both attractive and efficient in teaching on European Union issues. Offer has been addressed to young people - form high school to university students. One of the main initial assumptions was that the training should reach as wide target group as possible.
Solution
Open e-training placed in the Internet as a special website and available to all for free has been proposed as an optimum solution. Internet has been chosen as a medium with potential to reach largest number of possible participants.
Its possibilities as well as perception made Internet perfect tool for an educational project that would become a source of information and knowledge for young people.
"Education through fun" was a main objective of the training. Accurate design of its structure and graphics as well as diverse means of communication were used to encourage youth to learn - through fun and interaction.
European Internet Academy consists of twenty richly illustrated chapters regarding Poland's integration with EU structures. Content of the training has been developed basing on resources delivered by specialists from Pro Europa Society. Combined with graphics, animations, quizzes and test, in three months it was converted into over 500 screens of the training.
Training is installed on advanced LMS platform - MyLearning - that allows managing users of the training and their results with ease.
Outcomes
European Internet Academy reached its goals and in short term became very popular source of information on European Union. From its launch over 45 000 people were registered and 12 000 graduates already received Academy diplomas.
Because of a great success second edition of Academy is in stage of planning - it would allow participants to get most up-to-date information on Poland's role and position in EU structures.
