Prepare yourself for mountain excursion in Internet
We are on the verge of holiday time with all those family trips and mountain camps. How to prepare properly for mountain escapade? What should you remember of? How to call help when you need it? Now you can find out in Internet!
GOPR (Mountain Voluntary Rescue Team) and TOPR (Tatra Voluntary Rescue Team) rescuers prepared an Internet training to make young people aware of risks connected with mountain escapades.
Figures show that most accidents are caused by lack of imagination (41%), bravado (26%), recklessness (16%), lack of proper preparation (10%) and lack of orientation in terrain (7%) (GOPR statistics from last two years)
To avoid such problems you must be really well-prepared. GOPR runs prophylactics-oriented actions from few years - last year rescuers trained 8,500 students. Initiators of this e-training hope, that with help of Internet they will be able to train thousands of people more.

To participate in training, modem connection is sufficient. Parents and teachers can learn along with kids. Part of training devoted to first aid may come very useful not only on holidays.
