ISGS: Closing ceremony
April 10, 2003 was a day of closing ceremony of Internet Stock Game for Schools – e-learning project organized as a part of "Internet in Schools – Polish President’s Project" in partnership with Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Competition addressed to high school students has been organized to provide them with knowledge on economics, with special attention to capital markets. 122 teams from 77 schools (about 700 students) participated in Internet game – they were virtually investing virtual funds in conditions similar to those of real world.
Piotr Szteliga, Warsaw Stock Exchange vice-president and initiator of the project is very positive on its outcomes: "Youth welcomed ISGS as a modern method of learning very serious things with sheer enthusiasm. Use of Internet – medium that is close to young generation – allowed participants to verify gained knowledge and skills instantly and at the same time proved to them that Internet is not all about entertainment. For us it is an important suggestion how our educational activities should be conducted in future".
Educational part of the project was created by MyNetwork Polska. Training was developed with use of MyLearning platform – tool that offers many significant and innovatory solutions to be used at the stage of project preparation and implementation.
MyLearning is an advanced tool for creating trainings in World Wide Web environment – its module-based structure makes it possible to develop extensive trainings - with interactive and multimedia features - based on materials provided by Client in a very short time. Possibility to shape the complexity of training freely together with functionality and graphics that can be easily modified guarantees individual character of every implementation of MyLearning platform.
