Renault chooses e-learning
Starting on March 16th 2006, users of the Renault's program "Safety for All", i.e. almost half million of children in Poland, as well as everyone interested obtained access to an open e-learning training. The training completes and enhances the appeal of the package "The Road and Me" distributed so far only in printed version.
The program "Safety for All" developed by Renault is gaining in popularity - since the very beginning of its first edition the program has attracted already 4 266 participating schools - 21 366 classes and 493 550 children. In order to spread the knowledge among children in a reliable, but also attractive and modern way, fully interactive e-learning training was developed. An alien creature Woosh - playing the role of a virtual agent that captivates children’s imagination - introduces young students to safety rules and regulations while telling the story of his stay on the Planet Earth.
Besides lessons dedicated exclusively to children, the program features also a part designed for teachers and parents. Through the training teachers get familiar with the methodological principles that underlain creation of lessons, as well as the method for their execution, thanks to which they will be effectively prepared to run classes within the scope of communication education. As for parents, the program stresses the idea that their own behavior directly affects safety of their children.
"Execution of this e-learning training constitutes still another example of how education by means of the Internet and modern multimedia applications wins increasing trust, and therefore popularity. The training is modern, and therefore way more appealing to younger recipients", says Szymon Janicki, Vice-President for e-learning of MyNetwork Polska.
The training commissioned by Renault was created by the leader on the market of development and production of e-learning trainings, MyNetwork Polska. The training is accessible in the AICC standard on a LMS MyLearning Platform, an authoring solution of MyNetwork Polska.
