Effective blended learning needs proper tools - well-thought-out and designed electronic materials, such as e-learning modules, reviews and on-line tests. Traditional and electronic training should form a structure both consistent and easily customizable, that can be adjusted to changing company's needs.
When and how should blended-learning by applied?
Blended learning is not a one-time activity, but process which should result in high level of employees' education. In most cases this process consists number of characteristic stages, usually applied in the following sequence:
Training goals are determined and its participants selected
E-training is conducted, allowing participants to:
- acquire or complete basic knowledge of given subject
- level knowledge acquired by the group so all students are equally prepared for planned traditional training

Traditional training is run. Due to interaction between participants and tutor it allows to:
- consolidate knowledge obtained during e-training
- practice skills and behaviors that should be learned by participants
- exchange experiences, discuss various subjects, clarify doubts and acquire additional explanations from tutors

After-training activities are conducted in electronic form (reviews, exercises, tests), allowing participants to consolidate knowledge and skills learned during previous training stages.
